Shipping heiress Christina Onassis died last night. She was just 37.
She collapsed while staying with friends in Argentina.
It is believed she had a heart attack.
Christina fell ill as she was preparing to go swimming at the Tortugas Country Club, about 25 miles from Buenos Aires.
She was there to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday.
The fabulously wealthy heiress who fought a lifelong battle against weight problems was rushed to the club aid station for treatment and then transferred to the Clinca Del Sol in Beunos Aires.
But she was dead on arrival there, four hours later.

PROBLEMS.

Christina, daughter of the legendary Aristotle Onassis, was said to be worth £5 billion. But money never bought her happiness.
She married and divorced four times, and had only recently attempted a reconciliation with fourth husband Thierry Roussel.
Although she divorced Roussel last year after three years of marriage, the couple remained close. Roussel, a Frenchman, is the father of her only child, Athina, aged three.
Her dislike of Jackie Kennedy was mutual. Jackie, who married Aristotle after the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, said she was "a spoiled monster with fat legs and chunky ankles who dresses like a Greek peasant."
Over the years, Christina became as famous for her weight problems as for her health.
By 1985, in Marbella, she was spending £5,000 for every two pounds she lost at a private clinic.
But she still weighed more than 14 stone when she died.
